A conversation in painting redux.....

In 1999 Lois Keller and Rachel Weaver-Rivera
started a conversation in painting, and it went something like this... (click on the title to see the show in it's entirity from Woman Made Gallery in Chicago)

From this spark of an idea, we got a studio together, and gave each other the verbal and visual strength to pursue our own artistic forms. Rachel was working with children in the public school system teaching art and Lois was in the dark in theatres painting sets and styrofoam rocks. The paintings started with a "self-portrait", those are the two that are posted here.

Well......from a studio in Chicago to our current lives we have accomplished many things. Yet we found we still long for the companionship we shared through our art. So, we have revived the conversation, here online, from two different parts of the country. ...
